Metal Camp 2009

Messagepar Pec » 01 Sep 2009, 16:16

Tuomas, NIGHTWISH:
"We are really looking forward to finally step on Metalcamp stage. I hear nothing but compliments about this festival so we are very excited to be part of it this year."

Silenoz, DIMMU BORGIR:
"It's great to know we are coming back to Metalcamp this year. Last time we arrived really late and didn't have any time to check the surroundings. I hear the beach bar is something we should check, too."

Anders, IN FLAMES:
"I remember the Metalcamp show it was really cool to perform between the mountains! The crowd and the atmosphere was really relaxed. I also remember the hotel we stayed in had a funny smell."

Phil Anselmo, DOWN:
"We are stoked to be playing Metal Camp, a whole week long festival of metal has got to be the best week of the year. Other bands have told us how great the crowd is so we cannot wait to bring Nola to Slovenia."

Mikael, OPETH:
"Metalcamp for us was great. I remember the crowd was great and the atmosphere was fantastic, and the river there is beautiful but really cold."

Satyr, SATYRICON:
"Metalcamp offers the perfect black metal atmosphere - mountains, forests surrounding the main stage - it's ideal place for a metal festival. I think this festival has great future."

Nergal, BEHEMOTH:
"I was really looking forward to finally perform at MC last year. Unfortunately we had some trouble with pouring rain during our gig and had to stop after 5 songs or so. But we will be back for sure!"

Kerry King, SLAYER:
"I really like this freaky hotel and we have great time here. I like the organization and that everything runs smoothly. Our performance was cool and the crowd was awesome!"

Abbath, IMMORTAL:
"When we played Metalcamp, we spent almost a whole week at the festival and we had great time! Our show was really intense and we will never forget it. I also like the crazy looking hotel and the atmosphere and people are really friendly there."

Eric Peterson, TESTAMENT:
"Metal Camp was a pleasant surprise the last time we played there, with it's Forrest atmospheric surroundings and a darker vibed crowd, Testament and I are looking forward to stiiring up the the crowd there again and sending them into a frenzy with a special set for this dark crowd! Hails to Metal Camp and see you into the pit!"

Chuck Billy, TESTAMENT:
"Metal Camp has got to be the coolest thing for metal fans to come and camp out in one of the coolest settings in the world for a festival.
You are playing in the middle of the forest next to a running river.
It is incredible."

Whiplasher, DEATHSTARS:
"Metalcamp is held in amazingly nice area beneath the mountains and I'm really looking forward to come there earlier this year so we can have a look around. Last time it became a bit to stressful for that, but I like the chaos after the gig when the mafia dudes came and kicked one guy out from the third floor of that weird hotel, opposite to my room (I got him to destroy a door) so he landed on his neck on an air-conditioner, but he survived pretty good. Crazy place with a lot of cool bands, I am sure that also this year will be a circus."

Tobias "Eggi" Exxel, EDGUY:
"I loved Metalcamp so much when we played there three years ago!!! I can't wait to play Lavatory Lovemachine for you. Last time I've been just a chicken, we planned to swim naked in that nice river besides the festival site but the water was too cold, brrrrrr ...no lovemachine at all, hahaha!!! See you at Slovenia's hottest Metal Camp!!! "

Stefano Fiori, GRAVEWORM:
"Metalcamp is one of the best festivals in Europe. I´ve been there since the beginning and I cannot wait to be there again. Great area, great people and the atmosphere is fantastic.... this is like paradise"

Maurice, LEGION OF THE DAMNED:
"One the greatest festivals in Europe where paradise meets Metal, everybody should be obligated to experience this bootcamp at least once!"

Rocco, DREAMSHADE:
"We had a really great time at Metalcamp last year! This summer we'll be there again opening the main stage on Friday. After that we'll enjoy this paradise for an entire week watching awesome shows 'till 5 a.m, going to the unlimited after-parties, sunbathing on the beautiful river's beach, and if the last day some people are still looking for Marjan we will help them out."
