Well here we go again. the boys from Motörhead are back again to kick our ass. 2 Years after putting out the monster "Inferno" you can only wonder how much Motörhead has left in the tank. What we find is a rocker.
The album starts out with "Sucker", a somewhat punk-riff intro that only Motörhead can pull off. I really like the chorus. They seem to be recylceing a lot of old lyrics thoe. Not that theres anything wrong with that. Its what we have come to expect from Lemmy and Co.
Then we come to "One Night Stand". Nice little blues/rock riff, and a good solid rock beat from Mikkey Dee. Lyrics get a little tired thoe. Not a bad song. Good solo.
"Devil I Know" Sounds like a old riff they did from a song I cant remember. We have herd it all before one of the repeptive parts of the album.
"Trigger" is one of the highlights of the album, Phill does a little power metal soloing and deadly chourus from Lemmy. Good soild anthem.
On "Under The Gun" we see the blues riffing coming back into play. decent song but gotta remember Motörhead kind of has the "AC/DC" style of never really fucking around with you sound too much. They have pretty much stuck to there guns there whole exsitance.
"God Was Never On Your Side" Nice acoustic intro. Ballad haters beware. I think the title speaks for itself.
"Living In The Past" killer intro this is what I want to hear. Motörhead saying "fuck it lets do this one heavy" Great song another highlight.
Now on "Christine" once again back to the blues riff. good intro solo. But once again we herd it all before.
"Sword Of Glory" is alright. One of the more fastpaced songs as most of the other songs in this album is a slower tempo from "Inferno". Good song and nice solo. Phil is a very underated musican.
"Be My Baby" hahaha they ripped off there own "In The Year Of The Wolf" riff. Pretty much same song differnt Lyrics.
"Kingdom Of The Worm" starts with a wicked bass intro and Mikkey Dee doing only what he can do best. Great song thoe a little repeptive.
and now we come down to "Going Down" great way to close the album. Nice riffs, good beat. Good lyrics.
So we have yet another good solid Motörhead album. I can kind of hear thoe, the boys are starting to run out of ideas. But I think they got one more good album in them. Heres to more to come from Lemmy and Co.
