(chanteur et guitariste de Shihad, groupe poids lourd de poids lourd en Nouvelle-Zélande et ayant ouvert pour les boys lors de la date d'Auckland du 27 novembre 1996 sur le Ballbreaker Tour)

Pour finir, quelques mots du guitariste Brett Adams à propos de Phil :

"He was a quietly spoken, pleasant sort of guy with a dry sense of humour, though he became a juggernaut behind the kit," [...] "He knew what he wanted from the (admittedly slightly nervous) band, feel-wise, and gave some pointers. The best one he said to someone, with one song, was, 'you need to drink a bottle of whiskey and get into a street fight!'
