Robert: With Patty, you know, now I’m… She’s just cut a new record. It’s coming out soon and I sang with her but I had to sing the harmonies. So, I’ve learned some good, great stuff. And I like being chastised by beautiful women. So, if you don’t get the harmonies right, you have to go stand in the corner like a good boy.

Brian: Listen, I’m gonna jump from one subject here because since I’ve seen ya the last eight, ten months, you’ve been walking around like a man, or a cat that got the cream and now I know the reason why. You, you’ve snagged a gorgeous lady called Patty Griffin who I happen to be a fan of. Listen, I don’t care what they call this kind of thing; I want to hear one of her records. Can I possibly play it while you’re here; while she’s in the control room looking at ya?”
Robert: Yes, it’d be my great pleasure, Brian. Thank you very much for passing the buck.(laugh) Um, I just us, yeah it’s a beautiful song and uh this is a great cut, but it’s even better when you hear her play it live. It’s called “Heavenly Day.”

Brian: That’s fanta…that’s as smooth as a gravy sandwich, wouldn’t you say there me son? That is probably one of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard.”
Robert (laughing): I’m sure…I’m sure she’s thrilled to know that.
